Volunteer Needs

East Atlanta “Market Basket Pilot Program” Coordinator –10 hrs / wk
- Research online farmers market mediums
- Organize online pilot program
- Communicate with farmers re: supply
- Communicate with marketing intern re: newsletter
- Organize pre-orders
- Print recipes
- Gather ingredients into baskets on market day
- Set-up attractive basket display at info and chef tents
- Work with Market Assistants for check-in / out
- Need to be present at EAVFM each Thursday no later than 3:00
Administrative Intern: 5 hrs/ wk
- Token counting
- Receipts
- Data entry
- Copying / scanning documentation
- Filing
Edible Learning Garden Coordinator: 2-5 hrs / wk
- Schedule and promote garden lessons
- Coordinate with teacher pre-lesson
- Print / purchase materials needed
- Create surveys and evaluation tools as needed
- Need to have good connections and interest in this area
Art / Music Coordinator: 2-5 hrs / wk
- Research, schedule and promote musicians
- Research, schedule and promote artists
- Coordinate with musicians / artists for needs – and acquire supplies
- Print materials as needed
- Coordinate with market staff re: stipends / gifts / food baskets
- Need to have good connections and interest in this area
Ongoing Needs:
- Photographers
- Food bloggers
- Designers for marketing materials
- Artists / Painters – site beautification / signs
- Community outreach (spec to low income community groups that use WIC / SNAP)
- Speakers / Educators: professional gardeners, farmers, educators, specialists
- Chefs / nutritionist / gardeners for outreach
- Fundraisers
- “Small Mart Greeters” – 2.5 hrs / wk
- Set-Up / Clean-up helpers – 1 hr / wk
