Attendance

If a vendor cannot participate in the market any week, the vendor is required to notify the market manager via e-mail the Monday evening prior to Thursday at the latest as to their inability to attend the market for that week.

Priority and seniority will go to vendors who maintain a consistent and regular schedule and attend at least 25 of the 30 weeks at market.

3. Vendors are responsible for their own tables, tents, money and materials.
4. Vendors must clean their space of any debris or trash prior to leaving the market.
5. Vendors must post pricing for all items.
6. All vendors selling by the pound must use a scale certified by the Georgia Department of Agriculture. Scale certification are available free of charge by the Department.

Sales Reporting

Vendors are required to submit monthly reports with their weekly sales figures. This information is due by the 7th of each month for the preceding month.

The purpose of collecting this data is to aid in the management of the market. Sales data can show the effectiveness of directed promotion and marketing efforts. Total sales data for the market helps show potential sponsors the viability of the market as a means to reach customers for their business.

All information related to a specific vendor is kept confidential. Only aggregate data on the entire market and types of vendors (vegetable, processed, art, etc) will be used for marketing purposes.

Food Stamp Tokens

The 2008 EAV Farmers Market is a pilot program in Georgia for accepting food stamps at the farmers market. Food stamp recipients will swipe their card at the market booth in exchange for wood tokens. Farmers and packaged food vendors are required to accept the wood tokens as cash. Farmers will be reimbursed by check on a bi-monthly basis directly from the East Atlanta Village Farmers Market.
